Spoiler: Disclaimer (click to show/hide)

Greetings one and all. A few of you might know what Mount and Blade is, a few might not. And for these few I will explain...

Mount and Blade is a Realistic Medieval RPG/Third Party Adventure game. Developed by a Indie Developers looking to create a game which includes Realistic Horse and Ground Combat. Playing in a Living World the Player crosses the Continent of Calradia building their lives through Gold, Battle or the Land that they claim for themselves. Warband introduces an element that had frequented many mods for the Original game, Kingdom Management. That's right, you as the player may steal the land from under the Many Faction's Noses and claim your right to Rule Calradia. It is the player's choice how he develops his/her character, from humble beginnings to that of the mightiest warrior or the Most Cunning Trader. You can Merc yourself out to the highest bidder bringing your deadly Warparty with you. Hire Sellswords from Taverns inside the cities or Raw Recruits from the Villagers around Calradia, training them from young and weak cannon fodder to the most sturdiest warriors who will fight under your banner and follow your every command. Gather Companions from the world and work together with them as they develop much like yourself. Gaining Levels and Skills with each passing battle, and if you ever start your own kingdom and become a King of your own, Knight and endowed fiefs of their own to them, and they will raise armies under your name and kingdom...

Calradia is there for the takings, be it the land, coin or blood. Its there before you and your life starts with the first step...

Character Creation

Ok to start things off lets decide our characters backgrounds. For those new to what Mount and Blade is, the backgrounds affect what Skills, attributes, stats and Items they will get when character creation is finished. I was thinking of making three different characters and going from there, but I thought what the heck lets let others do this job. I will not be explaining what each of these backgrounds give though...

Lets begin...

Gender:
Male/Female.

Who/What was our Father?:
A Nobleman.
A Merchant.
A Warrior.
A Hunter.
A Nomad.
A Thief.

In our Early Life, what were we?:
A Page.
A Craftsman's Apprentice.
A Merchant Assistant.
A Street Urchin.
A Steppe Child.

Who did we become in our young adult life?:
A Squire.
A Troubadour.
A University Student.
A Goods Peddler.
A Blacksmith.
A Games Poacher.

What forced us to move on from that life, and into Calradia?:
Personal Revenge.
Loss of someone we loved.
Wanderlust.
Forced out of Home.
Money and Power.

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

After that I ask for a description of the character's face, The way their head is shaped. From the brow, nose and jaw. The the kind of Hairstyle and if Male the state of their chin (See Beard)...

And then just to finish it off. Give me a simple idea of what we would be doing in the starting few months, personally I like to gather a nice pot of gold to start things off, something like 50k. Through Trading and using that to outfit myself. BUT if you want me to go all crazy and attacking everything that moves to make my coin. Then tell me now...

Well, you know how if you take your thumb and forefinger and hold them up to your eye, you can make it look like you're squishing someone's head? It's like that, only for real.

Its a basic Battle Skill set. You end up starting with some good armour and weapons plus there's the stat and skills that you get... So most people pick it....

Exactly!

WE'RE DWARVES, WE DO THE LEAST LIKELY THINGS!

But yeah, my build is for a brainy character.

Our father used to ride with the Caravans from the capital to the various fledgling forts on the frontier, although I only got to ride with him sometimes I learned a lot from him, though it was a tough life as he didn't want to fund me and my mother much, preferring more selfish exercises, as such I was forced to beg, fight and steal to survive, using what money father gave us to keep my mother well fed, this went on till my mother grew sick and died, my father had taken off and never came home at some point so the local lord decided to take my home as I wasn't quite old enough, angry I stole a horse and went to the forests, poaching that lords best game, this went on for a few years and I made a meager living, managing to get enough money to hold a small hovel and some village, then I was caught, one of the lords best rangers found me and tried to take me under arrest for poaching, thankfully I managed to put an arrow through his skull before he put one through mine. I Had to run.... I hopped aboard a galley to Calradia and never looked back.

TLDR:
Merchant Dad
Street Urchin
Games poacher
Forced out of your home.

Head:  Broad, high-cheeked, short nose.  Hair:  Black, page cut.

And I like the trading to get equipment money idea, so I say go with that.

For a name, I suggest either Duke Cockblockington or Marville Shimmerding.

If we end up with a female character, name her Cadenza. If we have a male one, Magnus.
