I thought Toady was waiting for the body system revamp to add the centaurs and chimeraes... but I was wrong...

Ta-da. Thats sitting in the body default file. Should be fairly simple to just add the necessary details to that. Simplest way would be to artfully merge that with the horse to add hair, fat, skin etc.

Thanks, I would do it myself, but as I said, I do not fully understand the body system since it was changed.

Ok, here you go. Centaur all ready to go. It can punch with it's human arms and kick with both front and back legs. It can equip armor and use weapons, spawns naturally in forests and lives between 100 and 200 years.

The centaurs in the raws are FANCIFUL only, they have no real use.

I just finally confirmed this in a Centaur Lasher ambush: they have absolutely nothing in their inventory. No whips, armor, nothing. A single untrained axedwarf killed all 27 of them with his scythe (modded in). I didn't change anything with them and they are permitted to use weapons and armor, they just don't. If this helps at all, when I embark on one of their sites, they're all peasants except for nobles and the military. The military is just listed as recruits. They have permitted jobs as well.

It may be the fault of their entity file.  What weapons and armor are they allowed to make?

The creature file is the same as above. They have only two permitted reactions. May this be a part of it for metal armor?

EDIT: By the way, scythes are modded in and there is no errorlog.
