...And immediately after concluding my previous thought, I realized that I did't remember what that previous thought was at all. Or even what the last general idea of what I was thinking. In fact, I did't remember a thing at all!

"What is my name? Where the Hell am I? And what in God's name is a mug with the word "Cretus" carved into it doing half-broken on the stone walkway before me? Wait... What IS God's name?"

I looked up, past the mug, and saw the pathway leading to the edge of what I presumed to be my yard. A small fence, also stone, had a rusty iron gate in the center which led to a muddy pathway that was crowded with wagons pulled by horses. Directly across this busy thoroughfare I noticed similar houses. Hundreds of them! North, to my right, I saw in the distance several large buildings, made of some sort of fine looking stone, maybe marble or-*THUD*. Very rudely, I was hit in the head with a small metal idol of some sort.

"AND TAKE YOUR BLOODY GODS WITH YOU! GET OUT!" came a voice, shrieking like a harpy from behind. I swiveled myself around to see a beautiful woman, chucking similar statuettes at me. As if it were my last personally willful act, I swooped up the idols and began to run for the gate.

"GET OUT, CRETUS, YOU CRETIN!" She shrieked again.

Trying to understand exactly what it is that I did, I ask her quite the opposite of gracefully, "Lay off me you grubby bitch! I don't even know what I did!" Immediately afterwards, another flying object tagged me in the arm. I found out afterwards that it was a pair of scissors and I was very slightly bleeding.

As I was running out the gate, I turned around to see if I could get a look at the woman, but an enlarging spinning frying pan was in the way. Luckily, I was able to duck out of the way, but that didn't stop the poor rusty gate from being mangled as the frying pan struck with a force I wouldn't expect a woman to possess. And a poor horse was panicked and the owner couldn't stop it from taking off down the street. The poor driver lost a couple of crates out of the back of the wagon just in front of me.

As I grabbed the crate, it was much lighter than I had realized. I tried to hoist it off the ground and leap onto the nearest wagon. Unfortunately, I over guessed the jump, hitting my head on the roof of the wagon. The driver whipped around way too quickly and fired a shot from his pistol right into my gut. My guess is that there're a lot of wagon robbers around there...

I tried to stifle the bleeding on my arm, but considering that the pain of the bullet wound was a little more pressing, I decided not to worry about my arm any longer.

"Who the 'ell are ye!?" Called the wagon driver, reloading.
