So, anyone able to say how much content ultimate has compared to Tri yet? I'm still not sure if I should get it, since I'll probably be getting 4 when it comes.

I believe this is Capcom's official list.

Kinda sad they're removing the old elder dragons. Even more sad is removing kut-ku. Every aspiring hunter MUST face kut-ku atleast once in their hunting career.

I can tell you right now that other than the missing online, the 3DS version is identical to the WiiU version.

That and the obvious resolution downgrade.

So it's a really big game, especially for portable gaming.

I don't really understand how anyone can play this on a touchscreen but that's just me.

The game is played on the main screen at the top.

The touchscreen can be customized to do whatever you want. You can put a map + inventory + d-pad + whatever on it at the same time. If you think the size of the health bar is too long you can use a shorter version. Etc. etc. etc. You can put all the UI stuff that appears on the main screen on the touchscreen instead so you get a UI-less gameplay experience.

Actually, I recently discovered charm tables, which are apparently pretty important because you don't want to get one of the bugged charm tables.

Shepard does a far better job of explaining it than me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAgfAotmSr4

I just happened upon this video by pure chance, and it was incredibly lucky because I haven't gotten that far in MH3U.

Is it possible to emulate this (preferably with a legit copy of the game)?  Seems a bit silly to buy a platform for one game.

Nope, as far as I'm aware genuine 3DS emulators haven't been made due to some of the weirder functions it has and I doubt the WiiU has one yet.

Unless you're referring to regular ol 3, which I have absolutely no idea.

just another way for Capcom to milk western money for a subpar product without having to introduce the far superior Monster Hunter Frontier for western audiences.

I'm not even sure why this is, in Japan MHF is mostly played by Students, Children, Late Night Employees with an internet connection and boredom, O.G. fans. Not much else....

Monster Hunter Tri is out for wii (not WiiU) and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is on PSP.  Pretty sure we have emulators for them.  What are the differences between the games, and are they worth playing?

Ah that, I thought you were referring to 3 Ultimate. That makes much more sense.

No, the most SUPERIOR Monster Hunter Game out right now is Monster Hunter Frontier. It's the only one that get's continuous updates. It's the only one that truly makes any sense. I think they even added water fighting and they DID add the alternate combat styles found in the Wii.

There is no reason for them to even make this game to be honest.
