So unhappy this only comes out for the Wii, the only system I never owned, borrowed, or will ever possess.

If your computer is beefy you can play it perfecly on the Dolphin emulator. No MP though.

Run really well on mine, crashed only once in over 40hrs of play. With save state it start up instantly too and you can save at any point, which is amazing if you have just 15-20 min to burn.

I want to do this, but I won't be able to join up for a few hours at least.

Hop in steam chat if you want to really get organized about this, but I'm gonna get on Rookie 2, Gate 12, City 1 - we're less likely to have random joiners.

Killed a qurupeco by myself, woo. Now I just need to kill a royal ludroth, which is annoying since my best weapon deals water damage. Also my qurupeco armor has a water weakness.

Also I hit HR9 online, which is cool. This noob and this HR238 guy joined my server and we did a quest together. It was pretty easy. Now I need to hunt some of those big spiny fish guys to upgrade my royal claw again.

So I was just fighting Jhen with Taz/Girlinhat/Frosty and decided I'd try my hand at doing some bombing. Had no trouble bombing his tusk (unless you count the three times I fell off of him walking to the tusk) but then decided to use the two EZ barrel bombs on it's side since it looks like you can't place those on Jhen himself (I tried to, but couldn't). So I placed them on the edge of the boat close to Jhen's arm/the jump off point while Jhen was close, walked back and threw a paintball at it. It was only after I pressed the button that I realized Taz was mid-jump onto Jhen.

Whoops.

Only if you do it the dwarven way and stand on the part of the tusk that will fall off when you break through it.

Man, we must have hunted Jhen like twelve times, and I still didn't get the Earth Dragongem.
Looks like more Jhen hunting is what this calls for.

Which is funny because Jhen is generally the most boring monster to fight, or at least second only to Ceadeus.

I'd have to say Rath* easily beats out Jhen when the bloody thing refuses to land...

Though Ceadeus... oh Ceadeus... He's the only title I never got, other than the three HR100 ones. I hate that fight so much. ><

Yeah, Ceadeus is much easier to beat in a group. Custom quests, whee. I still need to make my Helios set, actually... :/

Although come to think of it, I was having a lot of fun running all over trying to break Jhen's bits. Also surprised that I didn't fail the dragonator. The timing actually isn't very specific, but even when I used to play a lot I couldn't get it with any kind of consistency, so getting it the first time and every time after that is kind of blowing my mind a bit.

Ah well. Good practice for the HR30 urgents that are coming up. :3

First few times fighting him at 2 AM in the morning were just amazing. He's hardly as boring as the Ceadeus. Although, he's probably just as frustrating, if not a bit more so, especially when teammates with a paralysis SnS go up to attack his feet instead of sticking by the cannons. That's frustrating.

MH3 For the win..

If only you could custom name a City, I'd set up one for the Bay12'ers.. Maybe we all should agree on a City/valor page to meet up on.

Any particular recommendations on tactics? I've never faced a Jhen before.
