Yeah, I get that.  I just wasn't sure if there were character skills I was missing somewhere.

I should, but I can never find it anywhere. To Amazon or something, I guess.

I would imagine the Controller Bundle edition comes with the Pro version but, why can't I just use a gamecube controller?  :<

There is Character Development skills that raise during the course of the game, Yours, The Players. At the start you will be smacked around by the Bigger Monsters, it will take you ages to kill something let alone get close enough to it to hit it with your sword (or whatever) without being Nommed on. Later in the game, you will be farming those for their parts taking less then 5mins to take it down without being hit once...

I remember playing Monster Hunter on the PsP. At first the Guranga would kill me 2 times before I could get it down, nearly running out of time. Later, That bitch couldn't touch me and I would slaughter it in seconds, the time would only be wasted trying to find the cursed thing. And that was BEFORE getting high quality gear. Quickest kill time was 3minutes. Well actually Trap time, I am Trap and "Release" kinda Hunter...

My Classic Controller (not pro) works fine.  Been exploring a bit and trying to figure out things like supply chains.  Capturing Great Jaggi is fine and all, but to do it recreationally you need to provide your own traps and tranqs.  That mainly means bone husks, thunderbugs, and spider webs.

I'm to the mission where they want me to kill a royal ludroch (or whatever it is, those komodo-dragon things!) wearing hunter's gear (yeah, the cheap stuff) and using a heavy bowgun.  So if anyone wants to do some spamming out and lol'ing at monsters, I'm up for anything.

We could have some fun doing to challenge types.  Like "Capture a Great Jaggi" except we add "and you can only use a bone dagger, pitfall, and tranqs."

Cool, so how do you communicate in-game?  I have a keyboard, as I'm obviously typing on my computer.  Don't have any sort of Wii-specific keyboard though.

I'd particularly like to go a-hunting for that bird boss.  The second one that imitates different monster calls.  I could use a few of those to craft new armor.

It's been a while since I played MH3 online, but I'm reasonably sure that any USB keyboard will get picked up by the Wii and allow you to type while online.

I usually attach my Wii to my Monitor (Pc-TV Monitor) and would use things like Mumble and Vent for Teamchat...

So I unplugged my keyboard, took it outside, cleaned it a little, and when I plugged it back in Windows is like "WTF is this shit I have to GET ALL NEW DRIVERS I HAVE NO IDEA!"

Anyways, name a connection thingy and let's go kill some shit.

Damn, guess I missed it. Oh well, at least now I'll be able to make sure I'm all ready for next time. I actually have a bowgun too at the moment, so it would probably be best if I take some time to get back into the groove of the game before hopping straight into multiplayer.
