How does the online in this actually work? I've never bothered to try playing any wii games online before.

This works in a much better way than any other games.
With other wii games, each player is assigned a 12 (16?) digit friend code, which they HAVE to exchange with a friend for it to make them friends. With Tri you can just literally say "can I join your group?" and it has a ID code which is short, but you can add it whenever.

I was considering getting a cordless keyboard to use online with MH3.
I found this two interesting ones...

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Radhades, I'd go for this one: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wii-Cordless-Keyboard-Nintendo/dp/B001D1HCF6/
The other looks disgusting.
also, if there's any justice in the world, I'll have mine by tomorrow.
I hope so.

Update on freezing: opening ports and updating my router firmware stopped monster hunter from freezing online I think. Weird that my internet connection failing could set off a freeze rather than disconnecting, but I'm just glad my wii works.

So if anyone else freezes with a high-pitched buzzing noise in the background... fix your internets!

BTW switch axe is pretty cool

I'm on the 3* quests now.
I'm really bummed out that they ruined the bone helm since the first game...I mean, bunny ears? Really? I hope the later armor gets better and less girly. :/

Is there anywhere to get dung in the first area? And does anyone know the recipe for super dung?

Never thought I'd say that...

For dung kill those big herbivores that walk around in moga woods (Aptonoth) and you might get some in the hunt report. AFAIK super dung can only be gotten by killing the larger aptonoth. Not the normal sized or the children, but the fucking huge ones. Might need to go while herbivores are breeding?
