OK. After 1.5 hours in the game I have reaffirmed that I do indeed suck at this type(all types) of game. I am really finding it a bit difficult lining up the attacks with the minor monsters(using classic controller). I think I need to go read a guide or wiki.

BTW- I had a similar problem with Demon Souls at first.

Well, heck, if you got used to Demon Souls and got good enough at it I feel like you should be able to get good enough at this too.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Loving this game, oh jeez.

@jnecros, you know that you can use the wiimote pointer to point at skill names for a description of what they do? Took me a while to figure that out. :/

REALLY!? why would they ever make it like this! MH3 should be able to do everything with the classic controller.

I think I'm going to try to solo my way to the end game of MHFU before I buy MHTri. At the very least, I need to get my Wii to try the demo...

I'm having a hell of a time with all manner of Rathalos, but not so with the Rathians. Took out a Pink G-Rank Rathian without dying :/ Used too many potions, yes, but without dying. Comparatively, I died once on a High-Rank (not G-rank) regular Rathalos.

Hoping to get Full Azure Rathalos for a HGE set, or a mix of Azure Rath and Narga for evade-heavy..

Logical2u: Monster ease and strategies are all weapon-specific. For instance, Rathalos is easy-as-hell with GS. You can reliably cut its tail very soon into the battle and then mash its head every time it lands. Dual Sword I imagine would not do so well.

From what i've read here and looked up this looks like quite a decent game. Which game would you recommend I play first? I have a PC and a PS2.

Also for anyone who plays warcraft here's a map I found which I think is based on this.

Wha... what?

Assuming you don't live in Japan/Korea/China...
The only game you can possibly play with just those systems is Monster Hunter 1.

The 2nd generation is only available outside of Japan on the PSP, and the 3rd generation is only available on Wii for now.

Do you think you can use the wii remote to type?

I think you just plug them in.
Also, I've got wiispeak. I'm probably not gonna use it unless others are or something.
Hopefully mine will arrive tomorrow...
