Never fought deviljho, lookin forward to it! As for weapons I've preferred the sword and shield so far, but I also use gunlance and Longsword on occasion, usually for breaking high parts. As far as ranged, I like the light bowgun the most, but I haven't given heavy a fair shake yet (carpenterbugs are in the way of upgrading it to a reasonable level).

*shrug* I can always have fun with the current mmo they have in japan. There is a large enough english community playing it that you can figure things out and enjoy yourself. If MHO is any good then I'm sure a helpful english community will pop up for it too.

If I recall correctly, most big Chinese-only games require a Chinese ID to make an account. I wouldn't know how to get one of those.

The japanese version wont be asking for an ID, but they might block IP addresses from other countries... that's hen you use proxies/vpn's to play.

In Monster Hunter P3rd, I'm trying to get earth dragon gem armed with my only armor set that increases rewards, the hotspring set. No luck yet but it's kinda funny fighting Jhen while I'm wearing a towel.

Hello monster hunter thread, I bring you the blessings of the (japanese) internet.

Notably rare item drop rates. APparently they vary between quests, pretty heavily sometimes.

The complete information on all of those items should be available here, though they won't be combined into one big number like in that thread.

Double post because LIIIIIIVE, just got into hardmode, purple ludroth gave me a run for my money. Good to see the game's toughening up, because low rank was by and large not terrible. :P

Low Rank is ridiculously easy in 3U. HR is definitely where the game starts. Apparently G rank is the true Monster Hunter starts here, but I'm not there yet.

Yeah, just got into high rank with the P. Ludroth. I had very few problems, but I also prepared really well for the change from Low Rank to High Rank.

Low Rank is too easy, I think. I get that they wanted to bring new players in better, but it's ludicrously easy much of the time. I really should play more MH3U, especially now that I'm FINALLY in high rank and I can start battling more of the new monsters and the subspecies.

So I apparently got someones guild card via streetpass while at an MtG event today, but when I go Start > Guild Card > Check, there aren't any there. How do I get to it?
