Yeah, Tencent (big Chinese company) apparently announced it officially.

That doesn't completely discount Western MHO, but it's not guaranteed either.

MONSTER HUNTER ONLINE

NO I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS

YES I'M STILL EXCITED
I'm sorry, You have not passed the needed Japanese Requirements for being able to play this game. You need to relocate to that of the Nation of Japan before attempting again...

Seriously though, We Western Monster Hunter Lovers will NEVER see a True Monster Hunter MMO here in our Lands without having to either move to Japan or learn their language well enough to just say, fuck it, I am moving to Japan...

The best I have seen is this game called RaiderZ...
I don't know though. Looks like they took a WoW Clone (CAUSE A WESTERN GAMER CAN'T PLAY ANYTHING THAT ISN'T ONE) and put some Monster Hunting ideas into it...

For the time being, I'm refusing to accept that argument if your only evidence is how they've handled Frontier. If they restrict MHO similarly then we'll talk.

Trust me, I am 100% for it coming out here. But with the way Monster Hunter has been handled over the last Forever. We won't see it...
I would love to play MH online, been playing it with a friend of mine on the TRI before the servers are fully closed soonish and we are loving it, makes me wish we could do youtube vids on it but not 100% sure on how to get my Console gameplay recorded. I have this thing that might allow me to do it, but still not sure on how it works...

I dunno where you got the fact that it looks like a WoW clone, it looks very monster hunter-ey, the animations look a little funny but that's about the only thing I saw that looked off, and that hardly implies much given they're probably using a different engine for the MMO. Unless you were referring to RaiderZ, I haven't played that. At any rate speculating over a few minute long video is a bit much anyway. :P

On a side note, high rank don't fuck around, I've failed purple ludroth twice now.

Sorry my WoW clone comment was directed towards the RaiderZ game...

Got my rathian plates last night and also my rathalos plate just now! And got a new sword and shield that absolutely levels great jaggi in about a minute or two. It's been a good day. (Yes I know jaggi isn't that great don't take this away from me)

I get a lot of deep dragongems. I farm the Ceadeus because I have very few horns, but I always seem to end up with just as many dragongems. I've gotten four now.

Ya know I've heard a lot of that in other places of the internet, I wonder if there's something up with that?

EDIT: Bringing a greatsword to rathalos was a big mistake. >:(

Yeah, you should have brought a lightning bowgun or something. Or flash bombs, lots and lots of flash bombs.

I usually go with longsword but I also don't have any decent gunner armor on hand either. :P

EDIT: You know I'd like to give gunning a shot, what's a good gunner armor to get me started?

The snow bunny-thing's armor set. It gives evasion I think. The rathian bowguns gives nice clip size for normal shot. Ignore rapid fire for now. For bows, I personally like pierce shots but use rapid if your aim sucks. If you can, use blast type bows or focus.

As in every game I play I am a rash aggressive jerk that whiffs a lot, so I'll definitely go for rapid. Thank yah!
