Tileset issue
« on: April 14, 2010, 12:57:06 pm »

Currently trying to add tiles to the medical dwarves, and the new underground critters, and something is going wrong, because all I get is blackspaces...

Currently using these ones (as  .bmp I might add).

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
is my current graphics_mayday.txt files.

WARNING! LISTING THE ENTIRE .txt file, so it's a long spoiler...

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

*sniff* It's always nice to see others using your work, even if things are going horribly wrong. *sniff*
(that is to say, my modification of Beefmo's work, but still...)

As for adding it all together, I did complie my current efferts into a ready to use .zip, which can be found here, and includes (with permission, I might add) the animals from Mayday's pack. However, it doesn't include the underground graphics, as I haven't asked yet. (I should get on that...)

There could be several problems, and the first up is the one I know is there already. It has been pointed out in the original topic that the  PAGE_DIM for newbeasts is wrong, and should be 6:8, not 12:17.

If you put the newbeasts image in with the rest of the graphics, you'll also have to edit    [FILE:newbeasts.bmp] to reflect this, like [FILE:mayday/newbeasts.bmp] or [FILE:Beefmo/newbeasts.bmp] if using my repack.

Next, if you didn't download my repack from the DFFD, but got the image file from my Imageshack account, you might not have made it a 24bit bmp file. (And, just to cover all bases, renaming it to .bmp doesn't work. You have to use something like MSpaint.) I'd suggest you download it again from the DFFD, as I have updated the .txt file, which had the old GUARD and ROYAL_GUARD tags, instead of the new LAW_ENFORCE and TAX_ESCORT ones. Then add the corrected nb file into the end of the beefmo.txt file.

Also, make sure you copy all of this to your save region's graphics folder as well as your main graphics folder, before loading your save.

If none of this works, you could always wait until I go all borg on Magnut's set, and download it then.
