Elephant Historical figure?

o_o I had recently abandoned a fort (which ironically, was due to elephant invasion...) and I was checking out the legends of the region, and I found this bad boy/girl...

Did an elephant kill one of your dwarves by any chance?  When animals kill dwarves, they get names.

Yea they were rampaging through my fortress... :/ completely ruined the longest running fortress I ever had...

Well that's probably just an elephant that got a kill, it's only got one - hardly legendary - but all animals that get kills, thus a name, are entered into legends list.

Yeah, in my current fortress I embarked in the middle of somewhere called The Granite Jungle. Half the statues my dwarves make are of old wars, and the other half about crazy jungle animals killing humans and dwarves and being killed in turn.
