Gentlemen, this is a thread for any mapping projects i, or anyone else for that matter, may do. I'm currently working on a TF2 map, which will have photos posted at a later date 9I hope quite soon, i just want to finish the blocking first).

Post any such projects you may have, and generally just use this as a blog. I'll put up polls and whatnot for you if you require them also.

(It's also to be used for a feedback thread)

 Goddammit Jakk, you've been teasing everybody with promises of this map for ages now. Unless you have the kingdon of heaven of maps, you should have help up some previews before my mind hyped it up.

Sorry about that, Duck. It's just i was having problems compressing, it's going through now. Shouldnt take long.

Also, i've only been working on this one for a week or two, after a few false starts, i re-started the map completely, as the gameplay was bad, and the shape was stupid.

 Video quality is fine. Some areas seem a little large and open, but I imagine getting to the details would fill the map with the little bits of cover and obstacles that make a map good.

 Seems decent so far though.

Yeah, it's not even fully blocked out yet. The first area will probably have a bit more cover, and there's going to be some hillyness in certain parts. When the blocking is done, the displacements (Like hills and bumbpy ground) are next on the list.

Jakkarra; The map, judging from the video, needs to be compressed a little. The various elements, such as the building to the right of the above picture of the map, needs to be brought closer to the rail tracks.

Otherwise, more strategic clutter needs to be included. high rocks, choke points, huge open expanses tend to lead to constant stalemates due to over reliance of snipers. Like Orange.

As mentioned, it isnt completely blocked out! There's going to be a lot of things changed before the alpha release!

The area at 2:24 is excessively deep, methinks. How much of that are you planning to fill?
