Determinator Dwarves?
« on: April 13, 2010, 06:06:49 am »

So i accidentally dropped my miner down a shaft, wups i thought, looking at his injures (red right upper arm, red right shoulder, red left lower arm, yellow right lower leg, yellow left lower leg, yellow skull and yellow left lung) as he lay there unconscious. A dwarf ran over and fed him and i started to set up a hospital zone.

And then he got back up and went straight back to mining, apparantly using his broken right arm without any trouble at all. Also his skull and lung healed.

This was, oh maybe 1 minute of gameplay after he fell down the hole.

So, in conclusion.

Wat.

He has a uncommon medical condition known as badass syndrome, its been known to occur in dwarves, cave swallowmen and even the occasional elf. Dwarfs who find themselves suffering from this condition are most often drafted into the military were there natural talents are best suited.

He's healed all his yellows; the reds are still hanging around.

He nearly died when i built a bed cuz he sat in it and for some reason i didn't have any buckets to give him water, so i removed the hospital zone and deconstructed the beds while i sort this out.

He's happily running around with his broken arms not hindering him in the slightest...

--EDIT--

FOR FUCKS SAKE, he just fell down the hole AGAIN, yellows everywhere and he's broken his goddamn spine!

He has lost his ability to stand, BUT THAT WON'T SLOW HIM DOWN.

Well, my farms are being irrigated by his blood...

Oh jesus a Grimeling (which are apparantly indestructable to War Dogs) just got him, everything is red.

Also apparantly he is slow to tire, but quite clumsy. THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

He won...

Wat.

Seriously.

Wat.

I've had dorfs die because a Troglodyte looked at them funny, this guy survives dropping 4 z levels, twice and then tears a Grimeling apart while paralysed from the waist down.

What is this i don't even...

Unfortunately, his shenanegins with the hole mean that my irrigation system wasn't set up correctly and my fort is now flooding.

It seems even he cannot breathe water, although he was the last Dwarf to survive, happily snoozing away in his bed in 4/9 water...

Ah, see? That one makes perfect sense. Since his lungs no longer work, he can't inhale water, and therefore can't drown. See? Logical!

Grimelings aren't as tough when you handle them with more than one person, but have at least one with a cutting weapon... to prune. :)
also: get that dorf a doctor, hes gonna smell soon. :D

All my dwarves have the pussy syndrome. :(

My miner took a dip in a tiny puddle of magma and died seconds later! What a coward. My miner fell in an underground sea of magma while wrestling a troglodyte in mid-air, that's the manliest one i got. I had a miner break his legs after fighting with a giant rat and a giant olm, he became pale and had to REST.

The yellows were probably bruises. Bruises routinely heal before combat is finished.
