Grab shield and spear and go off on a mission!

To collect the elkbird corpse, not fight the leechmen, obviously.

Hey,this game sounds pretty sweet!Let's make my first post in here!
Anyway,from now on I shall be known as...Tailor Chillglazes,Mason!
As Haspen said, you need another profession.
Spoiler: possible professions (click to show/hide)

Stick spear in the helmeted leech in front of me, then throw it backwards in a smooth overhead move, in the middle of our group. He must be important. And I want his cap.

hit: d6+1.5=2.5, evade: d6=5
You fail to hit the leech.
pull: d6=1, resist: d6=2
It tries to pull you down the cliff but you are stronger!

>_

>Snap off a branch of the tree to take with me, then enter yonder mysterious passage

You get a branch. The tree shivers strangely...

You go down a lot of stairs...
After some time you reach a tunnel with a semi-rotten corpse. It is wearing semi-rotten trousers and holding something.
You can also continue going downstairs.

>_

Grab shield and spear and go off on a mission!

To collect the elkbird corpse, not fight the leechmen, obviously.

You grab a spear and a shield and go forth to stop evil.
The shield seems to consist of leather and has several holes in it...

You arrive at the spot where the elk bird was killed.
Everything is full of gore. You suddenly think of a giant toad and a black box of censorship +5.

But the corpse is gone! And there is the partial skeleton of a dwarven-sized humanoid lying on the ground. Without legs.

Shout: "Need some help here!"

Try that last move again. It was cool. If it'd worked.

Examine object held by corpse.

Q: Does the corpse have any fat on it?
If so, remove fat, take with.
If not, continue downwards.

Curses. Gather up the remains, and that plump helmet while I'm at it, and carry everything back to the hideout.

So has my consciousness been split in twain or do I reside as one in both parts?
You are in the main tree, photosynthesizing. You miss you 37th branch, though...

Shout: "Need some help here!"

Try that last move again. It was cool. If it'd worked.

Marxdwarf turns around while reloading to prevent further accusations of unchasity on the battlefield...

hit: d6+1.5=2.5, evade: d6=6
You miss the leechman...
pull: d6=3, resist: d6=2
...and it manages to pull you down the cliff of doom! (like your companion)

You are falling...

>_
(You still have a chance to survive. A small one.)

Examine object held by corpse.

Q: Does the corpse have any fat on it?
If so, remove fat, take with.
If not, continue downwards.

The object seems to be a piece op paper. There are strange numbers standing on it. (Wooo, Mystery!)
The trousers appear to be intact.
The flesh is too rotten to see which parts of it were fat once.

You grab the plump helmet! Iron Boatbucket, Fish Cleaner, is more experienced!
You are a Novice Herbalist now!
Trying to gather the remaining items you notive that you inventory is nearly full! You can only carry one more item, the elk bird horn or the dwarven skeleton.
Also you realize that the elk bird gore is actually a trail, leading... somewhere...

... Is that leech... LAUGHING AT ME?!

While falling, I try to:
- Use the leather bag as a parachute
- Dodge the ground (hey, it worked in the hitchhikers guide)
- Land on top of my companion (he might cushion my fall)
- Land gracefully in water (I heard a splash, earlier)

You are trying to make me take the trousers.
Now, I would.
But I don't like those trousers. They are ugly.
I take the paper, and keep heading downstairs.

You WANTED trousers...

I know that.
But I don't care about ugly trousers. They are ugly and stupid.
