But then again, they don't necessarily need intimidation, and a set of full plate is: 1. Heavy, and 2. Intimidating to an extent.

It's worth noting, perhaps, that inside the court, Eglamore wore his uniform as a teacher during Coyote's visit.  While escorting Anne to the forest in "formal attire", he wore light armor not too dissimilar from Parley's present outfit (along with plenty of swords).  As Jones noted on the matter, intimidation and posturing is actually a greater fault of the Forest; the Court's fault is in underestimating it as "simply" the baying of animals.  Plus, who knows how well regular plate armor would work against threats like Ysengrin, Coyote, or the other etheric and non-humans of the forest.  We know that skirmisher armor seemed to suit Eglamore's fighting well; it's probable that his student Parley will have learned similarly from him.

Eglamore got a longer cape. I wonder if the cape-length indicate your experience or something. Maybe you get to add a couple inches every year and it is cut when you're defeated in a fight, Dothraki-style.

I think you mean infinitely full scabbard. She can teleport and thus can grab whatever weapon she wants.
