The ghost is actually a German boy named Mort who the boy in the comic killed with his wooden gun.

Nope my actual prediction is he gets run over by a vehicle that's driving way too fast because of the siren.

Mort ends up avoiding the explosion, the brick, the german plane, and the vehicle.

It turns out that Mort is still alive under the sheets. It was the sheets that gave him magical ghost powers.

He then proceed to get Annie to send his sheets to the Ether for shits and giggles and enroll in Gunnerkrigg Court.

Orrr ... let's say a bomb comes in and she catches it and the explosion kills Mort. Wasn't there a scene where she was with someone in a collapsed building and became a family servant or whatever?
