I always assumed that those pages were just the author's doodle fun-time.  Did any of the previous ones have to do with the story?

Yeah they are always chock full of symbolism. Reading some of the archives I find the root things in Annie's hair to be very similar to the ones from back here, when Annie collapsed and then Zimmie showed up and "sent a message to her father". I'm making a strong guess that Annie's father will be somehow involved in this upcoming arc.

Also anyone else notice that Ysengrin's face has a chunk separated from the middle of the forehead? Reference to coyote's memory foolings perhaps?

Also, there's the feather by Kat, which I have no idea what might symbolize. I suppose there's a chance for bird-dude, but that seems unlikely to me. Any ideas?

EDIT: the handlike thing in Annie's hair reminds me of those 'bones' we say leading way off somewhere back when she collapsed.

I think Tom mentioned that the new Chapter wasn't going to start up right away. Think we'll get City Face 3?

I'm getting very close to catching up to this, I started reading it a while ago and I love it.

E: Caught up. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but it certainly tells that I really enjoy this comic. Especially the robot chapters.

New chapter cover. I'm not sure why everyone in the comments thinks that's a bird...

...when it's obviously a velociraptor.

Mayby it's about the tic-tocs. But knowing this comic, a velociraptor is equally likely.

Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

At least there are people there, so we'll know if it makes a sound.
