I wonder if that sword-dude-guy will come running, or if they're too deep into the woods. Perhaps fight between them would mean an escalation of the conflict, which could mean we might be seeing the end of the second act.

There's an implication on this page that coyote snipped it off with one of his bindings.

If I'm not completely mistaken, we saw when it happened in a previous comic, but I can't remember exactly how.

Gut feeling that Ysengrin's days may be numbered. And might wind up being Annie's second "client" as a psychopomp.

I had to go back and check earlier, but the ear appears to be missing from his first appearance, though there is a deceptive tuft of fur.

Oy....wolf-spider-tree Ysengrin is kinda freaky.

Yeah, I think poor Ysengrin has gone rabid and is about to be put down. Question is, will it be Eglamore or Coyote who does the deed? (Or maybe we get to see Jones unleash her full badass glory?)

And was this all part of some plan of Coyote's, sacrificing Ysengrin for some further aim?

Or perhaps Annie will get backed into a corner and have to do something about it herself?

Aw, but dying would mean there could be no reconciliation scene where Antimony explains that she meant it was funny because they obviously exist, so it doesn't matter whether he's right or not (along the same lines of her reasoning for why it doesn't upset her, up until she mentioned considering herself human anyway). It'd be nice for Ysengrin and Antimony to have their teacher/student roles reversed.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I've never really thought of Ysengrin in a "teacher" role. More like "menacing, snarling badass who is barely kept in check. Barely."

Kind of a Sandor Clegane figure. Occasionally offers some useful advice, but mostly just wants to eat you.

Hm, fair enough. My thought was based on the way he was treating her in the past couple of storylines, and is definitely not a general description (it's only relevant to his interactions with Annie).

I feel like Ysengrin has been looking for an excuse to do something like this for a while now.
