As if you'd expect someone who has been in a position of power for as long as coyote to not deal in a bit of skullduggery... if you'd ignore the fact that he is also the trickster of this world...

All of a sudden? The only feeling I've ever got out of Coyote was that he's in it for himself. The rest of the world is just tools for him.

Yea... a simple 'request' with forewarned consequences.
I just don't find it surprising... did you expect things(in the way of conduct/decisions by its 'leaders') on the other side of the bridge to be inherently better?

We all knew he was cruel ever since we learned he kept Reynardine's body eternally youthfull, waiting for him, but allowed Ysengrin's to wane in that tree power-suit of his.

This raises the question of WHY Coyote doesn't want anyone in the forest to know about the Coyote Tooth.

When is it going to be answered?  Who knows.

It's probably quite unlikely that Coyote really sees that as a bad thing to do. A little extreme, perhaps, but to him, justified. Not exactly subtle though. This could get (more) interesting.

if I were her, I'd get things out of the way immediately - "Coyote, I have your tooth, in my room, back in the court"
He'd get a laugh, and hopefully replace the hand with an awesome hook thing. If not, maybe Kat might have some ideas.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.
