Cue Ysengren training Annie montage. "You are weak. I do not tolerate weakness. Therefore, become strong".

Is that before or after Coyote teaches Annie to lift a space-fighter with her mind?
(EDIT: probably after. Kat will crash it in the forest while looking for Annie)
It's before the space fighter, but after she waxes his car.

I am interested to see if she will actually stop being neutral and be turned against the court by this.

That would be cool.

I am interested to see if she will actually switch sides.

That would be cool.

Except the whole point of her as an inheritor of that "medium" bit has to do with her being neutral. Doesn't it?

That's what I meant, it'll be interesting to see if this'll turn Annie away from her apparent base state of neutrality.

but would she then lose all her Medium Powerz?
There really WOULD have to be a training montage.

Honestly, she already seems to be leaning towards coyote's side of things, as it becomes more and more apparent how corrupt and broken parts of the court are (even the worst element of the forest, Ysengrin, is becoming more sympathetic, despite being a bitter, rotting husk).

Of course, she still has loyalties to individuals within the court, and is probably more on the course of becoming jaded from witnessing the specifics of the court, rather than actually turning against it.

That's what I meant, it'll be interesting to see if this'll turn Annie away from her apparent base state of neutrality.

but would she then lose all her Medium Powerz?

The position of medium required neutrality, and some degree of psychic ability. The ability came from neither the position nor the neutrality, but was merely a requirement to be considered for the position. At least as I read it.

Well, she would lose the medium powers granted to her by the Court. That is to say, political powers. Not that she's using them all that much, though. :)

Technically, she doesn't have any such power yet. She's being groomed as the next medium, she doesn't currently hold the position. And, despite the "requiring neutrality" bit, even if her sympathies lay with the forest side, I don't believe anyone who particularly cared would be able to tell. Her even-more-emotionless instructor doesn't exactly hold the court in high esteem, although that comes across more as simply being extremely jaded (and it honestly looks like that's the path antimony's going down too).
