Well, now we know why no one in specific has clear juristiction over Jeanne's ghostie. Gah.
Why?

...
I seem to have transformed into a big question mark over the night.
Well I could be wrong, but it seems to me she doesn't exactly have a clear allegiance here, which I am given to believe affects things. Heck, she died on a methaphorical, metaphysical, as well as just plain physical border between two. Also, neither side seems (so far) to have directly killed her. Though we don't yet know how she actually died, so there may be more to it than this.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

I'm totally not sure on this either, but I didn't think Court/Woods affiliation had anything to do with who you're reaper is? That seem a bit more a religio-cultural deal. But as I said earlier, I hardly remember any of the exposition from Muut/other reapers (I can't even recall whether they've actually talked with anyone else, except cameos from that unspeakable horror/bug guy), so don't really have anything to go on here.

Your reaper is partially determined by what you believe in. The choice is then narrowed down by how you live. Then, it comes down even narrower by how you die. Ultimately though, you get to choose from the smaller selection.

Remember the flashback to Annies hospital days? The boy she helped was in the middle of a disagreement because his parents were from different districts or ancestries or something, but the kid needed to choose which one.

I think ancestry comes into play since in the flashback where she met other reapers, we saw Hermes and an Egyptian (Isis maybe? no idea) along with another one who's origins were Mesopotamian I think.

Edit: Just checked the Gunnerkrigg wiki and Neith is the egyptian one, the guy with the horns is actually of slavic origin. Theres of course the Hindu psychopomp. Wherever the hospital was, its in a very cosmopolitian place, London maybe?

Spoiler: some fan art I found (click to show/hide)

I really like this comic, I wish it got as much love as MSPA.

Anyway, my favorite character is and always will be James Eglamore for being so manly.

Besides Homestuck this is the only web comic I actually keep constant tabs on, unfortunately the detail in every strip means we only get to see three comics a week, but dammit I don't know.

Erryone loves Coyote. He's like a slightly less insane Joker with a lot more power, and also less evil.

I actually keep myself updated on Ctrl Alt Del, but that's because of the CAD Mock thread on SomethingAwful.
