Dammit, Jones. You can't just mention these things and then not tell us.

Well I'm glad dinosaurs have been worked into Jones' story somehow. I'll consider this an honorable mention.

I was totally right. Jones is a mythological creature, and belief is retroactive. She looks like how she does because she's a product of a culture that looks like that.

The only question is... what is the belief, exactly, and who did it come from? Is she, in fact, an experiment by the court to actively create and manipulate mythology somehow? That would be pretty interesting...

Well that's really only one of several possibilities we've seen so far. The retroactive possibility is one, she could be created by belief, and that belief made her always be, or she could have somehow manage to have been sent back in time and forgotten about it.

There's also crazier possibilities, things like that maybe Jones doesn't look like a human, humans look like Jones. Or Jones could have somehow been created, with the precognition that humans would evolve, and what they'd look like. Then there's the possibility that this is just the product of chaos, and there's no real rhyme or reason because none of this stuff makes sense anyway, right?

I for one am still sticking to the beliefe that Jones is a robot. A primordial robot but a robot nontheless.

A lead covered robots then, because X-Rays don't show any internal mechanics.

Something tells me that Jones is just Jones. And that's as much as will be explained. She's Gunnerkrigg's Tom Bombadil.

Perhaps the robots have developed/will develop religion. She is some Robot Goddess: The Eternal Constant.

Hey i just wrote a script to download the whole comic and read offline - i was just wondering, is it all just regular images, or does the author use any multimedia in there like Homestuck?

Isn't that a bit cheeky, given it's Tom's source of income?

Reading it offline? What difference does that make?

Generally, I can't stand reading anything like that on a website - the picture never fully matches my window, so i have to scroll every single page to try and see the whole thing - or alternatively zoom out and have it too small to read -  but with a copy on my HD i can have them all full screen sized any use the keyboard to flick pages.

Also, my 4G internet connection cuts out a lot, so half the time I can't view the next panel. Having a copy on my hard-drive is just about the only way to make it bearable.

To answer your question, yes, the comic is entirely images.

It makes a difference because the comic is supported by ad revenue that's generated when you actually visit the web pages.

He should really try and put the ads on the side, not down the bottom. Vertical screen real-estate is harder to come by.

Ok, I'm clicking the ads a few times, to make up for it.
