And now it's what appears to be ancient Rome... Although for all I know it could be Pompei I guess. These vignettes are fun and all, but I'm starting to wonder how much longer this is going to go on for.

It's accelerating backwards; 3 before was ~ 100 years, 2 before was ~700 years, last panel jumps ~1000 years. Which means ~4-5 more panels before the dawn of modern humans, assuming exponential acceleration. So at most it goes on for another couple dozen to the dawn of time.

At which point Jones Face becomes a running gag forever. :|

Though my guess is it won't go beyond early modern humans on the Savannah of Africa; though if it does, it would, according to the theory of Coyote, make her Coyote's creator. As by his theory, it is only in the agency humans ascribe the world from which his substance is derived. Granted, that would still make her 'not human,' but it's probably still close enough for Coyote's requirements.

She's quite clearly Caucasian though. Unless she changed her form at some point, shouldn't she still be African if you go back that far?

Possible. If so, I'd think she's more like half or quarter, rather than a distant descendant. However, we don't know whether or not all part-elementals are able to use blinker stones; the only two we know of for certain (Annie and Surma) could.
