Another thought: anyone remember the mindfuckery of Spring Heeled Part 2? When Annie and Zimmy swapped? I have a feeling this is related to that. Have we seen Ether!Annie since then?

Okay, my personal theory is now that Annie and Zimmy are becoming the same person and it will be so unless proven otherwise.

I'd guess that what we're seeing now is a literal dream. Expecting it to make sense wouldn't really be reasonable.

I think we're due an explanation for Kat's head bird, though.

Remember her boyfriend that turned into a crazy looking bird? And how Kat started reading ornithological books? She subconsciously identifies as a bird, at least partially, nowadays. My theory at least.

Yeah, she has a thing for birds and she loves cityface, so it's not outside reason that her thoughts are personified by a bird she is very close to.
