true, true. Ysengrin scares people more than coyote. Coyote is just far more dangerous, and I am sure that the court fears him more than the wolf.

Coyote is undoubtedly the more powerful of the two, but it does not appear that he wishes to hurt anyone. Ysengrin "would destroy the lot of them [the humans] given the chance," but Coyote seems content with making general mischief.

That's probably because Coyote is a God.

Coyote is more powerful, sure, but he's a TRICKSTER god. He'll never get around to actually doing anything heinous, and if he occasionally steals sunlight or breaks time, it's just for a joke and he'll have nothing against anyone fixing it again. You can slap him and be pretty sure he's not going to retaliate by making your bones explode or something.

He has a big reset button and that means he can screw with the status quo for fun to his heart's content, basically.

He does get serious at times though. He is the one that created the Annan river.

Not everything Jones, the Headmaster, or Coyote say is true.

(then who do we trust for exposition!? ??? )

Apparently Coyote doesn't lie. Maybe he just doesn't want to or maybe he can't.

Then again, the person who said that is a liar, sooooo.

Partial truths can be quite conveniently deceptive at times. Annie seems to think that Jones is a robot, but I think that she expresses significantly LESS emotion than most of the robots.

I am of the opinion that she is a telekinetic Vulcan.

Maybe Jeannie was a robot. And Jones is an upgraded model. Or the same robot; some kind of robot wraith separated from its robot soul trapped in the ravine. Walking around, catching swords with her face, like the mindless, soulless automated husk that she is.

Well, the fact that she seems to understand emotions rules out the possibility that she is a Borg.

Antimony is scariest of all; she has persuasive powers just short of mind control over supernatural creatures, except the one messing with Jack's head, anyway.

What she did to Reynardine and Coyote, one a highly intelligent evil parasitic demon and the other a phenomenally powerful god who hides his deeper motives behind a happy-go-lucky facade, shows just how irresistible she is.

And Annie's just started her training.  That, if you think about it, is extremely scary.

Hmm, and to be fair Coyote's "facade" probably isn't only that, nor even primarily.  There's no reason to think he isn't a fun-loving trickster whose intrinsic nature just happens to hide his deeper motives.

I also think Jack isn't himself but that his possession by the spider-thing was something that happened gradually, like a voice in his head that got louder and louder.

If you compare him on the camping trip to him on the boat when Annie uses her blinker, you notice that the spider has grown.
