In fact, the more I think of it, the ancient robot's reference to the Court having "grown from the seed bismuth" just makes me think Kat is somehow involved. Bismuth and antimony are metals in the same valence table, and both have alchemical references. Then there's this, from the Gunnerkrigg wiki:

Quote
Given its unusual characteristics, Paracelsus referred to it[bismuth] as a "bastard" or "half metal."

There you have it. Kat is some kind of half-robot who is also somehow tied to the construction of the Court itself. She is the bismuth to Antimony's....um, antimony. I don't think it's the same as Annie though, it's not like "Your mom is human and your dad is a robot". More like "since both your parents are gifted in the hard sciences *and* can do magic, you're partially built and partially grown."

Welp, this is probably going to cement Kat's psuedo-deific status within the Court's robot population, for better or for worse...

Heh, what if they start bowing before her in the halls and such?

robox is a dick.
I got the disturbing feeling that Robox was about to do something untowards to his crippled little buddy there. It dawned on me that maybe the lesson they all took away from this was that since their Angel took away life, it's okay for them to do so too. Cue omnicidal robot rebellion with religious overtones.

I think this will end badly for Kat, robotwise. Perhaps a rebellion, or cult or something.

Also, the way Tom treats Boxblot, I can't help but pity him.

Not like him. Pity him.

Yeah, robox is a douche, and I can see a robot rebellion sometime soon.

I can imagine the teachers fighting off an attack from both irate Forest dudes and rebel 'bots.

Awesome.

I'd say a robot cult... dedicated to their 'angel'... Kat.

I doubt there would be a rebellion, seems like all Kat would have to say is "Please stopp rebelling." and they would.

New chapter., called Helping Hand.

Looks like the students are going on another night-time romp... impressive tech there, Mr. Hyland. Impressive indeed.

Wow, all the students look different now! Took me a moment or so to recognize them. I like the new style.

Also is it just me or does anyone else have the suspicion that this plan will unravel due to robot-related shenanigans?

Okay, I caught up again.  I read all of Chapter 33, which was okay and now I'm caught up with Chapter 34, which looks like it's gonna be good.  I wonder what Jack Hyland has to say.

Also, I caught up with a few months of material in like 20 minutes.  :P
