I'm guessing Surma never fell in love with Reynard and felt horribly guilty about it. Possibly her husband thinks she's silly for it? Or left her after her death because of it, only staying with her in the first place due to her illness?

This. I hope. Actually falling in love with him would be too boring.

Though I don't get what you mean by this, Jack:

How does one leave somebody after their death? Or do you mean leaving Annie? I was under the impression she grew up without her father, that he left them earlier.

edit: By the way, we haven't found out who the father is yet, have we? I think I would remember if we'd have, but I'm not feeling certain. He's not on the cast page, but then again neither is Surma.

Yeah, I meant left Annie. Perhaps the only reason he was staying around was he felt obligated due to her sickness?

Really I've nothing to back that theory up but on the off chance that I'm right I'm going to be insufferable about it you have no idea seriously

People do know that it updates every M/W/F and has a 30-page buffer, right? It's going to update unless the site goes down or something.

It's probably one of the most reliable webcomics out there.

Hmm.. That would have him drawing this one during the Jack is Possessed By Evil Spider time, right? Maybe a little later. While it was still in our minds though.

Also, it's three months, so probably more like 40 strips in advance.
