The heal roll just determines how many hitpoints are restored.

In this case you healed 7 Hitpoints, which i spread so that he woulnd`t bleed anymore. Actually you would only have healed 5 Hitpoints at max (Cure light wounds after all.), but since you rolled a 5 on the cast roll (slightly better result) You healed 7.

In the case of the ring you don`t get another +1. The ring works to 100% As long as you manage to cast the spell you want to store.. And your skill with magical devices won`t help you to cast spells.

You head back to the main room, and then you go down the other tunnel- You stop at the middle; Far away from the door and the goblins. You hear the sound of many footsteps and rough laughter.. For one moment you thought that you were spotted, but the goblins aren`t coming towards you. Strange. After a few moments everything is quite again.

You follow shebi- She seems to have found them already.

You put down your backpack and you dance, quite good actually. Too bad that none of the ladies saw this as they are already going down the other tunnel.

Since Exkirby is oblivious to the world you decide to just grab the sword and identify it for him. On the blade is written "Devils death". That seems to be the name of the blade. You can`t identify whether it`s cursed or enchanted, though. It is magical, however. You put the sword down again and follow the others.

Tise is dragged along.
