So is there anyway to name the people you encounter, so you can recognize them if you see them again?

No, and if their is tell me.
People have names though, and if you can remember them, you can Psi (PM) them.

You can also use their sdesc ("tall, lanky elf") if I remember correctly.

Also, my new guy got approved, I'll be on later.
Do you guys know what the rules are regarding previous characters? I know I'm not allowed to know anything about Kurra, since I never met him IC, but could my new character be looking for him cause a friend of a friend told him to?
Also I'm probably gonna try making a simple map of Tuluk at some point.

You can't, you just have to remember them yourself. But you can use their name. Like if the guy's name is Malik, you could just "give item Malik", "l Malik", "kiss Malik". If you know them well enough, you should actually be able to figure who's who easily enough. I know my character's friends even when they're wearing hooded clothes by the way they act.

It's impossible to make a map. They don't add up. I.e if I move 4 rooms down on street, a street a few streets across requires me to move 5 rooms down to be on the same level.
): Or I went wrong. Also, I already know some people by mannerism.
