Question, does the [NUMBER] tag work for defining bodies?
So for example, if i wanted to define say, ten hands, i could define a single one and use [NUMBER:10]?

Answer with a question: How often do you see "17th tooth" or "2nd right true rib"?

In other words, it doesn't work at all at this point, no.

If I'm not mistaken, yes. See: teeth.

Hmmm... I'll probably use the caste system, because otherwise I might have mismatches, which would be weird. Anything else I might try?

If I'm not mistaken, yes. See: teeth.

Teeth don't work, though; if you ever notice, creatures only have 3 teeth: tooth, left eye tooth, right eye tooth.

right upper back tooth? or are you just refering to animals? and not humanoids.

Yes, right upper back, etc. Either way, the number is not as much as it should be.

Hmm, I'm inclined to called Putnam Legendary Troubleshooter, because he's like the Footkerchief of modding.

I added the [BODY_DETAIL_PLAN:EGG_MATERIALS] to all tameable slimes and jellies.

Then i generated a tiny world and embarked with a collection of jelly-eggs. They appeared on the kitchen menu :)
Thank you for helping me there, i knew it had to be something obvious like that ^^

Back again. Just another quick question:

If I were to add [CAN_LEARN] to dogs, would that allow them to increase their biting, dodging, scratching, ect. skills overtime? If not, just what effect would it have?

They'll be able to learn skills like intelligent creatures do (biting a creature to gain a skill in biting, etc.). Since there's no way to train creatures' skills overtime (doing nothing), and since there's no way to efficiently train them manually, aside from pasturing them in a danger room, you might want to alter the learn rates to be faster too.

Now that's weird... Eggs are perfectly cookable, but my current embark decided to bring some of their seeds contained in a "blueberry jelly eggshell chest"

Is that normal? Can it happen with normal eggshell too? I've never seen that before, but this time i also brought more seeds than i usually do (11 of each), so they have never been brought in chests before..

Teeth don't work, though; if you ever notice, creatures only have 3 teeth: tooth, left eye tooth, right eye tooth.

Furthermore, the results from butchering ignore the NUMBER tag on a body part completely.  As far as I can tell, NUMBER doesn't do anything at the moment.
