I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

Didn't Treants used to have a [VEGETARIAN] Tag a while back?  I can't find the treant creature anymore but I would imagine the tag still works.

Quick test shows that it doesn't throw an error in the errorlog at least.

ok thanks, another question: how do I add a civ? I copy pasted the goblin raws and called them orcs but doesn't seem to work. Do I need to change something else?

Did so already, it's not working. NOTHING's working with this piece of shit. No tissue thickness, my thick gluteus maximus anus-guards!

With that out of the way, i'm still extremely annoyed at the vagueness of the error log, as well as the general stubbornness of this problem. Let's see now, i have:
- Defined a tissue template (WITH THICKNESS, DAMN IT)
- Defined the tissue as a body part
- Defined it in a body detail plan (both tissue and layer)
- Applied said body detail plans to to the creature

The only thing i haven't done is to add the ANGER material in a body detail plan, but doing that turned out to be completely fucking useless. I swear, this is going to drive me stark raving mad soon.

Perhaps i should clarify the additional body part (anger) a little; it's supposed to be a small layer inside the head, kinda like what Deon sneakily did with his void masters. This probably means i'll have to write the tokens differently, but i'm at my wits end.
I added what you wrote to the game, and the BP_LAYERS things does do the trick. The exact text you need is:

[BP_LAYERS:BY_CATEGORY:ANGER:ANGER:100]
in the same file as the ANGRY_TISSUES. The second line can also be added to VERTEBRATE_TISSUE_LAYERS since the creature file can simply ignore the lines that refer to categories the creature doesn't have, but that shuffles the mod into the vanilla stuff. Fine for personal use, might not play nice with other mods.

Also:

         [RELATIVE_THICKNESS:1]
does nothing. RELATIVE_THICKNESS isn't recognised as a creature token, and without that there's no reason to select the tissue. There's a RELATIVE_THICKNESS in the tissue templates; that's currently set to ten for the angry.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

So apparently, i was just doing that BP_LAYERS thing wrong. I guess stuff like that happens when you're new. Oh well, good thing i have this shiny [CAN_LEARN] token.
