How would I go about creating a creature that...

1 Explodes/Bursts into flames when attacked.
2 Intentionally explodes/bursts into flames AS an attack (and dies instantly from it).

Essentially I want to create a living bomb that can only be safely disposed of by using traps or ranged weaponry.

The best way to do that is to give them an extremely hot vapour as blood, I suspect.  Hot blood will cause anything flammable it splashes on to burn, and blood tends to go everywhere in melee.

2) It seem not to want to fly OK!

I press SHIFT+< and I am not changing Z-level like it should (I think). So, I check the entity_* and see that dragons have no wings.

3) I cannot "breath":
Now, this might be a simple limitation of the game as it is right now but I would like to know how... and this should normally be a range attack no ? (I'm not asking for a cone type attack but that would be a bonus ;) )

4) I cannot destroy
I know that dragons can destroy buildings but I cannot do it. Probably something that cannot be done right now as I cannot attack a "thing" that is not a "creature".

5) I cannot SHIFT+A (Called shots)
This crash my game :P

Any and all help will be appreciated :)

Is it currently possible to allow taming of sentients? Like, say, captured merchants or something?
Or, at the very least, is it possible to create other creatures like the vanilla Tigermen who are uncivilized (nonentity), intelligent, and tameable?

I ask because I want to create podlings that can be milked for their "essence". Then I just have to mod in the Garthim and tame crystal bats.

You have to use external tools like DFFusion to make it happen. But you can make other uncivilized creatures like tigermen with ease.

You don't have to worry about adventure tier for outsiders. Ethics are there just for fun, you can just go with the entity name, creature name and INDIV_CONTROLLABLE.

some how the new version prevents me from turning corpses into statues or tables but allows me to turn them into battle axes?

Looking for a quick confirmation here. For building tokens the WORK_LOCATION token... is it row:column or column:row or what?

I want to know so I don't build my custom workshops with a funny work spot that is on top of a part of the workshop or something.

I've done plenty of modding, mostly adding new creatures, but I've been making a new body and some new materials for the first time in 0.31 and I've got a problem. Spears are tearing the gut's gut!. I'd post my raws but I don't know which you need to see. Has anyone else encountered this?

edit: I'm also getting heart's heart tissue!

I would also like to know how to coat the outside of the gut in a material of choice? I'd like to make them stronger.

Can castes be allowed to start with different skills?

IE, one caste starts with 10 consoler, another starts with 5 consoler and 5 liar for example.

The only skill tag for creatures is [NATURAL_SKILL:(SKILL):(VALUE)]

Yeah, not creating new skills, just setting existing skills at higher levels then the starting level. Can I change that via caste?
