Sadly sources of drink are very easy now..just dig deep enough....you'll find something....heh.

I have just spawned about 30 whales in the arena and let them kill each other. Then butchered the corpses.

The smallest meat stack from one whale was [147] (but it had [151] fat too), the biggest one was [1321] !

Whale meat roast [5000] anyone?

Actually, that source of drink can be toggled in world gen - and I think you can reduce its probability to 0 or nearly 0 :) :) :)

The wale will gain a Title "the Grinning Whale"

the dwarf will develop an obsession with the whale, chasing him all over the ocean with a crew of misfits from all over the kingdom

On the subject of eskimo-dwarfs: I think the proper thing to do here is to build a GIANT igloo on the frozen ocean... Made FROM the frozen ocean. A giant hemispherical ice structure, under which lives the local dwarf civilization, who are undertaking a most dwarfen activity: Ice Fishing for whales.

Now if only we had diving bells. Menacing with spikes of iron.
