Most of us here aren't in favour of tories or labour, at least going by what I've read in the thread. Pointing out how ridiculous the tories are doesn't mean we think labour is ok at all. I'm definatly not a labour supporter. And while the conservatives haven't been in power for a while, the kind of people who would join their party are the kind of people who believe in the things they did in the past, generally speaking.
And no, I'm not going to explain every single statement I make about the conservative party with evidence and supporting arguements. Sometimes it's just funny to mock them. There's plenty of discussions about how much the screw up, and if someone asks for specific examples I'll throw down some links, but that doesn't mean I'm going to do it constantly.
Also, I would like a wave of anti-tory sentiment. I encourage it. Just like I encourage waves of anti-BNP sentiment and anti-labour sentiment.
See all your points could be made about the BNP. You shouldn't just make sweeping statements about them, they don't have a spotless record but neither do the other parties, we haven't seen them in power yet, we could just be turning people against them, we're making ourselves look ignorant by not constantly posting link upon link about why they're terrible, etc. But you didn't focus on that, because no reasonably intelligent person wants to be seen to defend the BNP. It's common knowledge that they're a joke. This is how I think of the conservatives. Just like I dont feel the need to justify every single comment and joke I make about the BNP, the same goes for the conservatives.
