Try to stop the bleeding with whatever resources are available, if more than half of them start walking towards Gatla (which they should) I will follow.
[2+1=3] You cut two pieces of cloth from the roll in your bag and stick them in your nose. Inelegant, but better than dripping. (And my personally preferred method for dealing with nosebleeds).
Jetsquirrel then makes you do a bunch of silly stretches and meditation. Oh how you hate that backstabbing traitor.
Oh wait.
That's you.
Try to help the rest and somehow remove the "Battered effect"
[6] You jog around a bit, do some stretches, then meditate for five minutes in order to remove that beaten-up feeling you got from rolling down a rocky hillside.
You then
insist upon everyone else joining you in a repeat of your exercise. This proves an annoying waste of time, not helping anyone whatsoever. Indeed, it has positively annoyed all of them, decreasing their chances of being productive in the near future.
Collect some rope reeds and weave them into cloth.
[4] You gather some
regular reeds with your knife and attempt weave them into a mat. [3] The reeds are not very flexible, but at least the don't snap. You make a Crappy Reed Mat.
Then Jetsquirrel pulls you from your pond (you did not leave in the mat-making process) and makes you do jumping jacks.
This is disturbing.Double check to see if my waterskin is full, and if not get some water from the river.
[6] You check to see if your waterskin is full.
It is!
You drink some water.
IT IS STILL FULL
In the spirit of experimentation, you upend it. After ten minutes you conclude that, yeah, its almost certainly magic.
Jetsquirrel pulls you away from further experimentation and makes you do 'breathing exercises' and 'Invigorating stretches' to make the pain 'disappear'
You suspect Jetsquirrel was a TV Shopping host before.
Head North to Gatla, mapping out the region as I go.
[1] You start walking north, taking note of landmarks and counting your steps. Preoccupied, you fail to notice that you are failing to walk parallel with the river until with a wet squelch your sandals sink into the thick mud of the shallows. You promptly fall forwards, sending your beloved map flying.
Jetsquirrel finds you wiping mud off a disintegrating parchment and pulls you back to the obelisk to do exercises.
They only serve to worsen your mood.
Head North to Gatla, watching for bandits.
[4] You head north, keeping a watchful eye out for dangers of all kinds.
You manage to escape Jetsquirrel.
Travel: [4] The road to Gatla is notable in its absence; you suspect that river-based transport is the norm between there and Thyn. Which raises the question: If the merchants travel by boat, why are there bandits?
Despite the rough terrain, you manage to cover some distance. Hypothetical concerns regarding your colleagues is shushed by your
need to travel to Gatla.

Location:
The river Ul, you presume, lies before you. Behind you the desert grows quickly rocky, becoming a maze of valleys. Ahead of you is a large blue obelisk, surrounded by a brownish awning and the smouldering ruins of several tents.
A trail of crude symbols leads from here to the Mysterious Carvings
Roadless. To the east, the reed-filled shallows of the River Ul. To the west, apparently bandit-infested canyons.
Renault is here.
