Quick question for Mike!

I am putting together a version of DF for my brother whose never played before and using .28 since it is a bit easier to a newcomer
On your main DL page, which was the last version for the old game? Was it v .29 or was it .30? I am guessing .30 since you say .31 is when the new version came out.

The link is right at the beginning of the changelog. That version was called dfg22 (old naming system)

Hello Mike!
Big fan of your graphics set, been using it all my DF life, but as this thread says:

There seems to be a problem with linking a lever to... anything, really, and as Xaneous said, it happens in the Mayday Graphic Pack.
The game will crash when I try to link the lever to any object.
This seems to be a big problem, so don't worry about it if you don't have the time. It just would be nice not to have to switch graphic sets  :-[

EDIT: I downloaded and have started to use the Lazy Newb Pack with your graphic set, and it seems that the lever glitch doesn't happen in the Lazy Newb Pack. It's all fixed, so sorry for wasting your time ;).

Question -

When an occupied animal cage is on a stockpile, it'll flash with the correct icon for the creature,  but if you 'build' that cage, it flashes only the letter. Is there any good way to fix this?

Not that I know of- it seems to be hardcoded. So the only thing to do would be changing the "text" animal icon for an icon in the base tileset (but we don't have enough tiles).

just wanted to inform you guys that i tested 0.31.19 with https://github.com/rofl0r/df-mayday . it seems to work flawlessly. however there are no new artworks for the newly introduced animals. maybe someone can create a DFG redistributable from it according to the README, to share it with the windows n00.. *ahem* ppl...

Just an FYI:

The new Ironhand Graphics Upgrade Pack 0.50 already contains graphics for LLAMA and BIRD_CHICKEN. Perhaps you could borrow these? (Or share the work in creating new animal tiles?)

Also, when you do release a new version of this set for 0.31.19, I hope that it will either be backwards compatible or that you will create a separate download (instead of replacing the old version). Some of us have decided to stick with .18 for a while longer, refusing to switch to newer versions until after some of the major bugs are fixed and after certain mods are updated. So we may still want access to a 0.31.18 compatible version until then.

Ironhand uses 18x18 tiles. I've made my own 16x16 (some based on his :D).
You can borrow them from Genesis.
