I'm not sure if this is a bug or some sort of change, but when I engrave walls and floors they are now showing up as a square tile with an image of something (A tree, a shrub, a little mechanism etc) instead of showing the engraved wall tile that showed up in 0.31.03

You need to hide engravings. (it is on the d menu)

Also I'm getting all sorts of swapped stuff. Pine trees and sweet pods showing up as civilization names, cups in place of conifer forests in embark mode. Do I smell cross-reference blowup?

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

Thanks! I never noticed that before, that's actually pretty cool.

You can specify for them to start that way in the init file.

Actually, not only the names are messed up, the whole graphics instances are FUBAR'd for me. Oaks show up as ore tiles, cave lobsters as squirrel vermin, plump helmets as ore tiles too.

Downloaded the Link above (some time ago though, but after your recent "fixed!" announcement).
Copied over my savegames, did nothing else.
Gems are now gears, fishes are turtles, ore is shown as... flowers(?). Is this correct? Also, itīs got some kind of brownish tint to it.

So is this safe to download? I'm using the old version for .05 and it makes me an Elf. You can see how important this is. lol

Also bear in mind that dwarves have their heads at a perfect height for a good face-kicking.
That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.

... no. No, my dwarves were dwarves, not elves. Pretty sure of that. ;)

Haekel- please open your data/save/region/raw/objects/inorganic_stone_mineral.txt and look at the definition for the ore you're talking about. What's the ore and what's its [TILE:***] ?
