One thing I always wondered is why we have dorf icons for cluster professions and not individualized ones. Is it a design decision or lack of time?  :D
I think I'll fiddle around with your sprites and see if I can make some interesting variations.  :o

I'd say it's a design choice caused by the limited amount of space available. I'll be doing more specific icons for my 21px tilese (to be released in May).

21 pix? now I'm curious!   :D

I did try making some variations on the dwarves, and I met the same problem you mentoined, they are too small for anything noticeable to be made. I gave my smiths hammers to hold and jewels to the gemcrafters, but they look weird.

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

smjjames: I'm splitting DFG into two versions: 16px and 21px. 16px is called 1280 because that's the resolution it requires.
Uthric: what exactly do you mean? I don't plan any improvements to the 16px version until the release of the 40d# merge.

i i got somthing to say idk if its the new tiles or what  i never loaded up a non tile set DF but  should some of the tiles be flashing to a lighter shade of the same tile? when its paused?

ground tiles? not dwarfs, ( but besides that i have run in to something i think its something i might have done cant play as dwarfs only elfs...dont want to play as elfs...)



ok the thing about embarking as elfs, i tryed it with out your tiles set it worked, but with it  i embark as elfs, i tryed it 3 or 4 times and its the same thing ever time  for ever new world a gen no matter how long i let it go for or for how short.

yea... idk what it is

Have you done any editing to the raws Uthric? Maybe you have an accidential duplicate or you changed something in the emtity_default raws.

dont i whent back and made 3 diff folders each of them had DF in them



df folder 1 no tile set -  played as dwarfs

df folder 2 with tile set - played at elfs

df folder 3 was one i moded the raws on and it played as elfs - thsi is the one i thiught i had broken first


but each of the folders was  a fresh unpack from the rar file i downloaded off them main site here

KNOWN PROBLEMS:
no graphics for lieutenants, militia captains, captains - I'm not sure if they shouldn't keep their normal icons instead

Do you mean you can't get the graphics to show, or that you're not sure you should have graphics for them? I haven't been able to get militia captains to show up as such in my own graphics repack. Just wondering if it's a DF thing or if I just set it up wrong.

I haven't actually tried. What I meant is that I'd probably rather have them show their normal icon.
