Looks like your gfx index file doesn't match the image file. Dwarves have just been rearranged (and so Beefmo is completely unsupported as of now) so that's probably the reason:
See your dorfs.bmp and the dwarf part of the graphics index file - both should have doctors at the end. If that's not the case then you haven't properly updated your save and need to copy the raw folder from the latest DFG download to your data/save/region* folder.

Or there is a bug I'm unaware of.

The .txt is from DFG26, back when beefmo was supported. I checked the position of the doctors on the dorfsMAYDAY one, and the positions are the same... Even doing the counting, frm 0->2 and 0->8 ends at the right spot.. It appears to be right, but just ain't working =/ Probably some minor thing I'm not spotting.

I used to have all the supported dwarves pulled from the dorfsBEEFMO.bmp, and added additional support for a 2nd image to draw the docs from (dorfs MAYDAY). But now that I got one set that does it all. I removed the adding of the 2nd bmp and changes things back to fit the new beefmo.

Ok, can I see your image and the contents of your graphics.txt (at least the dorf part)?

If these are both in your data/save/region*/raw/graphics/ then I have no idea what's wrong.

Okay, I just got the two to work together. However, it involves the next version of my repack, which I can't update at the moment, as for some reason I can't login to the DFFD. I'll have to figure that out.

Basically, once I update the pack, you'll just have to download it, backup and remove Mayday's stuff, unzip my pack into the raw/graphics folder, move your save over to the data/save folder, (create it if you have to) and copy the df_31_03/raw folder over the df_31_03/data/save/region#/raw folder. That should work.

Unless Mr. Mayday wants to borg my pack for the Beefmo enthusiasts. Then you'll just have to wait for that. ;)

Edit: I managed to update the pack. Try, try again.

Could you take a look at the definitions for the medical dwarves, guessing something is off there, since I cannot assign them to other tiles either =/

On the other hand, now that there is a Beefmo2010 out (new dwarves done by a fan, by editing excising ones), will you think about adding it in as an option?

Beefmo's military dwarves are just fantastic...

There's a big difference between Mike Mayday's version and Beemfo's set.

Beefmo draws and uses realistic sprites which are fantastic, sure. But Mike's sprites are simplier and easier to "read". Anyway, I like both styles. So it mostly depends on your vision/perception which are better.

I can't quite figure out why when I am using this setup my windowed mode takes up the whole screen, and sometimes seems to be centered such that the game is not quite fully visible.  Should I change the full screen mode settings even if I want to use windowed?  I noticed they were set a little large for my laptop to deal with, but as long as I go windowed it runs, just... crooked?  Off center...?

Apparently Mayday leaves the settings for the key bindings as he prefers them, and they are not default.  Go to key bindings and you can fix it up however you are accustomed to doing it.  I have always had to go adjust key bindings because my laptop keyboard does not match even the default DF key bindings.

Good luck!
