This is all kinds of awesome. You're going to end up with a massive pipe of obsidian going down until most if not all areas of the ocean that can reach the magma drain out. Which will take awhile.

Please post screenshots when it's done. :)

EDIT - Actually, are oceans not infinite water sources? This might never stop... not sure.

Just out of curiosity, why aren't obsidian walls formed on the edges of the pipe sticking to the interior wall (and then new obsidian sticking to those, etc)?

When i get home I will have a look at this. My PC runs DF 31 at a nice round speed of 200fps even with a fuckton of puppies and kittens running around the place...

Maybe I will try taping it and post it...

Been running your mountain map for a while now, it's too funny. Last time I checked I had 'A section of the cavern collapsed' x219. I eventually had to turn off the Pause associated with that message to get anything done.

PS. Thanks for the Seed!

It makes a messy obsidian bowl with lots of small pockets of lava and water and then the ocean fills it up.
