These pigs really hold their own in the arena! Nice! Can't seem to train em from the kennels, though. I have a hog and a sow. I only get options to train war dogs. :(

Tried that. Trainer dwarf keeps saying "no creature" to train. :S

So I need to keep the animals in a pit or something?

Why do they have horns? They should have tusks.

Blizzard once again totally dropping the ball when it comes to design in WoW, placing the boar's tusks in the most ridiculous position/orientation possible.

So we have to manually imput this animal or is there a downloadable link that I'm missing?

Awesome stuff. :) I like that it's got a carapace, makes sense if it's a naturally cavern-dwelling creatures.

I think "dwarven pig" sounds a little weird, though, I mean we don't call cattle "human cows". :) I'd call them "cave pigs" or something.

I think when something is described as "dwarvern x", it's a more of a euphemism to make something incredibly disgusting more marketable, than a description. Sort of like "sweetbread" or "Mexican Truffle".
"Dwarvern Cheese" sells better to the humans than "congealed maggot squeezings", "Dwarvern Wine" sells better than "Half rotten mushroom juice with chewy bits".
Likewise when traders hear a hideous high-pitched squeal coming from underground, they're going to be more comforted if you tell them it's just a dwarvern pig, then if you say it's an underground carapace monster.

Only the females are trainable. If you only have males, they won't be trained.

Why do they have horns? They should have tusks.

I agree. Minor oversight on my part.

Although, tusks do way less damage than horns right now because horns are made of horn and tusks are made of tooth, and horn has way better material properties. For whatever reason.

is there not a way to change the name of 'horn' for a creature? so you could make tusks but they are the same material as horn?

Certainly. Or you could just make tooth material as strong as horn. That'll probably be better in the long run. I had some bother today - turns out crocodiles' teeth aren't actually strong enough to penetrate each other's scales. You just end up with two angry crocs with their eyes torn out, chewing futilely on each other indefinately.
