if a give them metal blood will A) thay bleed B)will the spaters cool down.

To do so would require that either the metal blood be a separate metal type... Or editing it so that the metal either has a lower melting point or a high constant temperature, I believe. Otherwise, no liquid, eh.

That's odd, I thought in the Devlog during the development cycle Toady mentioned molten gold for blood and such.

Well, I could easily be wrong. I haven't tried my hand at creature modding yet, but I do understand that at least with some portions they've been having trouble with items staying in the 'state' (Solid, Vapor, Liquid) you want it in, due to temperature. So maybe the gold blood would work, it just wouldn't be a liquid AFTER it's spilled out. Just something like a 'puddle of dried gold blood' or something like that. Heh.

Mercury is a liquid metal at room temperature, though it's not currently in the game. You could add that in and use it as blood.
