On the subject of Inorganic Skin
« on: April 07, 2010, 08:25:04 pm »

Just for kicks I decided to give my Dwarves
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
for skin, to see whether they could be crushed under the weight of their own eyelids.

However, I am sadly somewhat unsure how to go about this. Does anyone have any tips?

You should start with this:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

See if that quick change works. Note, however, that this will apply to most everything with skin if you do it this way. To make it dwarf-only:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Not going to guarentee those work, but it's a good first shot.

Dangit. Didn't seem to take. His agility was unhampered, and he was still sliced into hundreds of lumps of goo.

Did you re-gen your world? And/Or edit the tags in your save? This seems like the type of change you'd need to remake a world to see.

Remember that you can quickly test any changes in the Arena.  That's what it's there for!  You can even have the deceased combatants butchered to see how much they yield.
