Can we use macros in this version?  I made an arena thats just a grid of 3x5 rooms and I figured I could set up a macro to paste one of a creature into each of them, turning a single 1v1 experiment into infinity of them with the push of a button.

I would guess the edged weapon is a big factor in this.

How about trying fights between dwarfs and elfs armed with low quality (copper?) maces? Maybe add leather armor and shield of some sort.

I'm guessing the elves benefit comes from the edged weapons habit of chopping parts of very efficiently, combined with first strike and lucky hit.  Blunt weapon and armor should help against it. And definately add helmets.

I'd prefer to seeboth sides get about 20 hits before one is knocked out.

an elf has a higher speed than dwarves, allowing them to hit quicker than dwarfes.

Yes, but hopefully if the hits are not instantly grippling, dwarfs constitution and strenght come in, allowing him to take more hits, and in turn making his hits cause more damage. So will in the long run the fewer, power powerful hits of dwarf counter the more numerous, maybe weaker hits of elf. And how will they handle damage?

I think elves should be weaker than all the other races, but faster. Humans and goblins would be slightly faster than the dwarves with equal strength, but the dwarves would be more 'durable' than the others.
Just how I envision things.

Macros were a 40d# thing, but you could use AutoHotkey or something.

I know Right! Kobolds are epic, but not as epic as Dwarfs.

By not giving the dwarf an advantage in equipment, this is 1v1 on 100% equal equipment terms, not trying to be realistic, geeze,
to everyone, these tests are on equal terms, not 'how it should be'.



Now stop asking why we give them metal weapons!
