Politely ask the Gentleman Pond Toucher to bring us to the other side of the pond.  ;D

If it doesn't understand us. we could always just swim, but that would be far less Gentlemanly

The GENTLEMAN POND TOUCHER slowly sinks beneath the tepid water, its expression blissful. After it's well underwater the surface continues to gurgle occasionally.

You cast Develop on each of the RAFT PIECES, turning them into BIG LOGS.

Cast Develop on Spell book...
More spells???
If that was possible the world would implode from the sheer amount of high level spells casted by beginner wizards.

Then clearly we must do it...

Holy crap, we'll get a SKELESPELLBOOKTON!

;D

Also, call out to the Gentleman Pond Toucher, and ask politely for a ride.

Actually;
Put skull on spellbook and cast Develop on them.
I vote against it! We could end up with a necromancy spell book. That may sound good, but you all know how bad messing with necromancy can get.

Don't worry. We can still do this;
Cast Develop on Spell book...
More spells???
I vote for it.
