Find better friends.  You don't have some aura of douchebaggery that makes everyone act douchey around you.  Or, if absolutely everyone ever acts like a douche to you, maybe it's not them but your perception of them.

After one of these you're glad to be able to go back to school again.

Had some real internet friends (without ever joining one of those social newtorks), most of them female, as most guys on the internet turn out to be douches.
I kinda miss that whole thing, especially on lonely evenings like these...

Well, I can't really give advice since I both don't know your situation and don't really have the same problems. I'm glad to be alone for half the week-end, being around people for the better part of every day but Sunday, unless I get really lucky and have to work on Sunday as well.

The trick to that is pretty simple: Do something with your life. Find a job where you're around people a lot. Go to school. Absolutely go to a university if you can, or a college that has a decent amount of student activities. If you're lucky, you can find your way into a student association or something similar and organise your own activities, which is an excellent way to get acquainted with people and it also gives you a direction (plus it looks great on your curriculum vitae). If you don't have those options, something as simple as finding a shop or other workplace with friendly colleagues can help a lot.

Also, it's probably odd I don't ever really feel lonely. The only time I'm lonely is when I'm incapable of having ANY social contact and I have nothing to do, which is very rare.
