Room question
« on: March 06, 2008, 01:01:00 am »

When creating bedrooms, or any room for that matter, should the room be designated to include all the floor space, or the floor and walls?  If the walls, is there any problem with single-wide walls being shared by neighboring bedrooms?

[edit] Oops, this was supposed to go in Questions.

There's no problem with sharing a wall, just floorspace.  And each tile of extra space inside a room counts towards its value, so if you want a really nice bedroom, you make it really big so it encompasses several tiles.  Both floor and wall tiles add to the value.

Also, only items that are actually inside the designated room (such as tables and chairs for offices and dining rooms, and cabinets and chests for bedrooms) will count as being owned by the dwarf who owns the room.
