This reminds me of Norse mythology where the trickster god Loki became a female horse so that a male horse would bang him and he gave birth to a...THING.

Why a goat giving birth to a horse reminds me of that, I'm not sure.

I saw this in a bug thread, and checked my raws to fix it. To my surprise, all the reported raw typos for creatures did not exist in mine! I dled DF2010 on the evening of the 1st, kinda doubt an updated version had secretly been posted by then.
