Remove the [USE_MATERIAL] line from the reaction.

the problem is probably this, no other reaction in reaction_other has it...what made you put it in there?

also, try to schedule the task in the manager to see if its still completed

ok i have a probleme here, i wanted to test if new version let work this:

[REACTION:MAKE_PLASTER_POWDER]
   [NAME:make a dog]
   [BUILDING:KILN:CUSTOM_SHIFT_P]
   [PRODUCT:100:1:DOG]
   [SKILL:SMELT]

but it seems to not be possible even now ... so someone has found how to "smellt" animals? i tougth it should be alredy corrected (in 40d only vermins could be smelted)

so it still havn't been corrected :( that is where my golem factory ends for now ... but one day i'll have them ... yesss i will

Excellent, it works. Just removed that line, and changed the product to MEAT:NONE instead of MEAT:SAUSAGE. I think I was confused/concerned about how the sausage was declared, seeing that the tanning reaction used SKIN_TANNED, a token I couldn't find anywhere but reaction_other... But in any case, it looks like the whole MATERIAL_REACTION_PRODUCT thing takes care of it.

I'm still confused as to why it worked before, when I still had the USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE line in there... Strangeness indeed.

One thing confusing me when it comes to reactions is that in this topic people are using:

Code: [Select]
[REAGENT:A:1:MEAT:NO_SUBTYPE:NONE:NONE]
Does it not make any difference?

NO_SUBTYPE is a subclass of NONE derived for the subtype parameter. (in English: they mean the same thing, but NO_SUBTYPE is more specific)
It's actually easier to just use NONE.

Who exactly are you talking to? I got this to work just fine. My dwarves are up to their ears in ground cat meat, cat sausage, and building materials made from cat flesh.
